《赛博朋克2077》Edgerunners 2更新已上线：前传任务、双持等

Cyberpunk 2077’s Edgerunners 2 Update is live now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. CD Projekt Red bills the patch as Update 2.5, and it carries content from the new anime straight into Night City. The update went out on October 22, two days after all ten episodes of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 premiered on Netflix.

The developer laid out the full contents in a launch post on Xbox Wire written by CD Projekt Red PR manager Joao De Mello. The update costs existing owners nothing, and the Nintendo Switch 2 release will come later. The studio confirmed the update and its release date on October 20, showed it off during a REDstreams broadcast on October 21, and shipped it the next morning.

A Prequel Gig Starring Weak Kingsley

The headline addition is a new gig that drops V into a story pulled from the anime. It opens as a contract from fixer Wakako, then turns into a high-stakes encounter where V crosses paths with Weak Kingsley, a veteran merc and one of the lead characters in Edgerunners 2. The action moves to a new location called Night City Prison.

In Cyberpunk 2077, a gig is a side contract handed out by a fixer, separate from the main story, so the new gig is reachable without replaying the campaign. CD Projekt Red frames it as a prequel to the series. Playing it before starting the show adds context for the first episode, and anyone who already finished the show can revisit part of Weak’s story from a broader angle, so the gig works as either a setup or a flashback depending on the order. The studio was careful to note that the gig does not spoil Edgerunners 2 for people who have not watched it yet.

Fans of the show also get Weak’s full outfit, from vest to coat, plus his signature revolver named Coronation. A new radio station, HKGN 102.FM, adds official tracks from both Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Edgerunners 2 to the in-game dial, and it joins the existing car radio lineup.

Dual Wielding Reworks the Combat Loop

The update also adds dual wielding, which lets V carry a pistol or revolver in each hand. CD Projekt Red describes it as one of the most significant combat additions since Update 2.0 introduced throwing knives.

Before Update 2.5, V could only fire one sidearm at a time. The change does not touch the existing perk tree, so returning players can pick it up on their current save instead of starting over. It is the feature the studio teased when it first confirmed the 2.5 update on October 20, and the live patch now delivers it alongside a much larger package. Dual wielding also pairs with Coronation, so a player can finish the prequel gig and then carry the new revolver beside another sidearm to try the style immediately.

Update 2.5 is a content patch. It stacks new activities, cosmetics, and a combat option onto the systems the studio rebuilt in 2023.

Cyberware Styling, Hair, and Mod Support

New vendors called glamdocs let players restyle the look of their cyberware, with 40 styles in different colors spread across five locations in Night City. The five locations spread the service across the districts. Glamdocs handle how implants look, separate from the ripperdocs who install the implants themselves. The update also adds 20 new hairstyles and several clothing sets.

Modding reaches consoles for the first time through mod.io integration. A new Mods panel lets players browse and install supported community content from inside the game, so console players pick from a list instead of managing files by hand. Cyberpunk 2077’s mod scene has lived on PC since launch, and the panel only serves supported content, which is a tighter set than the open PC ecosystem. CD Projekt Red said the catalog will grow as more creators submit content.

Explorers get 12 new minor arcana tarot cards to track down, plus Night City Tours, a set of audio landmarks narrated by the city’s late founder, Richard Night. Each landmark carries narration, quotes, and facts about the spot, and the tarot cards extend a collectible set that players have chased since launch.

Quality of Life and Xbox Play Anywhere

The item stash now has filters. Each V gets a separate save library, so a second playthrough no longer sits mixed in with the first. Photo Mode adds dual wielding poses and frames inspired by the Cyberpunk TCG.

On Xbox, the update ships with Play Anywhere support. One digital purchase now covers both Xbox Series X|S and the Windows PC version, with progress carrying between the two. The patch targets current-generation hardware: the announcement lists PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and it does not mention the older PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. The Switch 2 release is still dated for later, and CD Projekt Red has not announced a window for that version yet.
