英伟达新帧生成模式显著提升RTX 50与RTX 40 GPU帧率且仅轻微画质损失
NVIDIA’s New Frame Generation Mode Significantly Boosts FPS on RTX 50 & RTX 40 GPUs With Only A Minor Trade-off In Visual Quality
NVIDIA has released a new Frame Generation model that will target the "Performance Mode" for faster FPS on RTX 50 & RTX 40 GPUs.
NVIDIA's New Frame Generation "Performance" Mode Makes RTX 50 & RTX 40 GPUs Deliver Up To 35% Higher FPS
In addition to the updated DLSS 5 model, NVIDIA is also releasing a brand new update to its frame generation model.
The new model will specifically target the Multi-Frame Generation and Frame Generation "Performance" mode by offering users a "Preset C". Users who enable this preset will see a significant boost in FPS, up to 35% versus the existing performance mode.

How the company achieves this is by updating the AI model used for frame generation. As of now, there are two models used by MFG and standard frame-gen technologies. The first model leverages game data such as motion vectors and depth to understand object motion between the two rendered frames, and a second model calculates optical flow for elements like UI or ray-traced effects.
When Preset C is selected from the NVIDIA App, the second AI model will be replaced by the newer model, which is faster and lighter. This allows the application or game to deliver faster FPS than the original model across all frame-generation, multi-frame generation, and dynamic multi-frame generation modes. Though there will be minor trade-offs in quality, those who want the extra bit of performance will find this mode quite interesting to try out.
In its performance chart, NVIDIA uses a GeForce RTX 5060 to compare the older frame gen mode with the newer one. The results are quite nice, and the good part is that the model will be applicable to both RTX 50 and RTX 40 GPUs.
To apply Preset C to your games:
- Download and install the newest NVIDIA app update via the website, or from inside the app itself
- Open the app, and in Settings --> About, tick “Opt in to access Beta or experimental features”
- Wait a moment for the beta update to download, then click the on-screen message to install
- Once installed, open the “Graphics” section of the new NVIDIA app beta and select a supported Frame Generation, Multi Frame Generation or Dynamic Frame Generation game (alternatively, select “Global Settings” at the top of the window and apply to every supported game in your library)
- Scroll to “Driver Settings”
- Click “DLSS Override - Model Presets”
- Click “Custom”
- Open the “Frame Generation” drop-down and choose “Preset C”
- Click “Apply”
NVIDIA’s new Frame Generation Preset C delivers a welcome performance boost of up to 35% FPS by using a lighter, faster AI model, with only minor quality trade-offs. Available for both RTX 50 and RTX 40 series GPUs, it’s an easy experimental option to enable through the NVIDIA app for anyone chasing higher frame rates in supported titles.
