Helldivers 2 update 7.2.0, titled Devoid of Liberty, introduces Easy Anti-Cheat alongside extensive weapon balancing, stratagem adjustments, performance improvements, and bug fixes. The update rebalances weapons from the Killzone and Halo Legendary Warbonds, improves the Sickle variants and several shotguns, and adjusts the PLAS-39 Accelerator Rifle. Changes to stratagems include faster movement recovery after firing the M-1000 Maxigun, additional charges for the CQC-20 Breaching Hammer, and a shorter cooldown for the Orbital Airburst Strike.

The patch also improves CPU performance, reduces stuttering, enhances DirectX 12 stability, and fixes numerous crashes, enemy behaviour issues, mission blockers, and visual glitches. Other changes include a new way to identify active Bile enemy strains, additional SEAF emotes, improved subtitle handling, and fixes for multiplayer synchronisation, equipment customisation, and saving player preferences across sessions.
